Don't Enter Bollywood, Says Bollywood Photographer Camaal Mustafa Sikander

Here is a message to all Bollywood aspirants from Bollywood Photographer : Camaal Mustafa Sikander

OK, tell me frankly, how many Bollywood Stars can you count on your fingers ? 10 ? 20 ? 30 ?

It will be easy to name the first ten Bollywood Stars, little difficult to name the next ten and only a very die-hard Bollywood fan would be able to name twenty and above. It won’t take a Scientific calculator for you to evaluate your chance among 1.27 billion people in India.

In spite of losing a prospective client, the very first question that I ask to anybody who approaches me to do their BOLLYWOOD PORTFOLIO is whether his or her family is dependent on their income. If the answer is yes, then I advise them not to enter Bollywood.

Apart from talent, passion & dedication, you will also need time & money to come & try your luck in Bollywood. If you don't have theater experience, then you will need about two years and approx. 2-3 lacs INR to learn all the skills that you will need in Bollywood and about 4-5 lacs to take care of your expenses for about 2 yrs.

After that will start the Audition rounds where you will compete with hundreds of other aspirants like you. If you don't have enough buffer stock of money to sustain yourself in Mumbai, you might get involved in a vicious circle here, to use a crude analogy, Na Ghar Ke Na Ghaat Ke.

So just don't get carried away by the glamour, but take a informed decision to enter Bollywood!

Do share it with your friends who may be contemplating a career in Bollywood.

Kathak Queen Sitara Devi wanted to meet PM Narendra Modi

Kathak Queen Sitara Devi wanted to meet PM Narendra Modi, wrote a letter to the PM few weeks before her death

The last letter that Sitara Devi wrote was to Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Just a few weeks before she was admitted to the Cumballa Hill Hospital, dancing legend Sitara Devi in a recorded video interview had told IndyaNewz.com that she wanted to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sitara Devi was a great fan of Modi and hoped that Modi would help her get her dance academy moving. All her hopes were pinned on Modi. She even wrote a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and requested us to forward it to him, says Flynn Remedios, Editor of IndyaNewz.com. The letter was dictated by Sitara Devi to her daughter Kathak guru Jayanti Mala Mishra who penned it down in the presence of a couple of her students and handed it over to the Editor of IndyaNewz.com. That was probably the last letter that Sitara Devi would write. A copy of that letter still is in possession with IndyaNewz.com and is published below. READ THE LETTER HERE.

For the last 30-35 years Sitara Devi had been running from pillar to post to get a plot of land in Mumbai, sanctioned for a dance academy which she planned to set up. At her insistence about six months ago, on the 26th of March 2014,  IndyaNewz.com launched an online campaign on Facebook titled "Support Sitara Devi" (Facebook.com/support.sitara.devi), but like the dancing queen's efforts, the campaign fell on deaf ears. A very sad tribute to the fallen legend, the campaign did not even get  50 LIKES on their Faceboook page and was abandoned by the organisers.  Says Flynn Remedios, "We tried to popularize the cause, but there was no response.  We had to abandon it as there were no funds and even the media was not so supportive."

Says Randell Gomes, “For most people fashion is either very expensive or inconvenient or uncomfortable. And that is what is unfortunately portrayed at the fashion weeks and at fashion shows. For me, fashion is affordable, wearable and comfortable and yet fashionable,”  Gomes told Newz66.com. Designer Randell Gomes in association with an event company has announced a beauty pageant Mr & Miss Fashionable India to promote the concept of comfortable, affordable and wearable fashion, which will be announced at a later date. Last year Randell Gomes had launched a pret collection called Mumbai Fashion Street Collection which is inspired by Mumbai’s fashion street at Dhobitalao in South Mumbai. This year too he has introduced a new line of wearable and affordable clothes for women of all shapes and sizes under the same name.

Randell Gomes who was born in Goa but grew up at Dhobi Talao near the CST Railway Station and was fascinated by the variety and color of clothes available very cheaply on Fashion Street. Says Randell Gomes, “My sisters would go to Fashion Street every weekend. When I was a student at St Xaviers college, we would visit Fashion Street to buy bermudas, shorts and T -shirts which were available for as little as Rs 30 per piece. It was simply fabulous. Most of the stuff available at Fashion Street were export rejects and some of them were re-cycled clothes. But the joy we experienced getting an outfit within our limited budget was tremendous. At that time, shopping was fun and a great pleasure. With my new range of pret outfits for men and women, I want to make cheap fashionable clothes available for everyone.

Mumbai-based model and actress Natasha Sikka needs no introduction. SHOCKING: Rahul Roy asks Arshi Khan to strip?

Model and actress Arshi Khan was shocked and dumbfounded when Mahesh Bhatt Production’s Aashiqui hero Rahul Roy,  who was on her friend list on Facebook asked her to send nude images via the popular social networking site. The 25-year-old Afghanistan-born was too surprised to say anything. Being an Aashiqui fan, Arshi had Rahul Roy on her friend’s list for quite some time now, though she had never chatted with the person behind the profile.

On Sunday, when she received a ‘hi’ she was intrigued. They say, once bitten, twice shy. After a fake Huma Qureshi demanded money for some social work, Arshi was doubly careful. She checked the profile before venturing a reply. The Rahul Roy Facebook profile was perfect in every way. It even bore Rahul Roy’s phone number – which co-incidently Roy has been using for many years now and has been published in various film directories. It had a complete list of all his films – including some of the latest unreleased projects which Rahul Roy has shot for, his residence and office address. In that sense it was a genuine fake.

Emboldened by the fact that the profile bore Rahul Roy’s phone number and address, she ventured a ‘hello’. About ten minutes into a routine, run-of-the-mill conversation regarding her work and acting career, the fake Rahul Roy said he was casting for a new film for his company Rahul Roy Productions and would like to consider her. An elated Arshi even volunteered to send her new portfolio pics. That is when Rahul Roy said he would like to see her in the ‘nude’ and that she could either strip on video chat or click some nude photographs with her mobile phone and upload them through Facebook chat.

When Arshi Khan shared the news with her manager and publicist he was surprised too. Her manager who happened to know Rahul Roy personally, messaged him asking for a clarification. This time around it was Rahul Roy turn to be shocked. He immediately denied the incident and issued a clarification. This is what Rahul Roy said:

“I have never had any Facebook profile. I am not only and social media networking site. Whoever is doing this is a fraud. This has sadly become the norm in the industry as we are soft targets. Whenever someone asks me about my Facebook profile or any social media, I always tell them that I do not trust social media. I do not rely on the internet or such ‘networking sites’ as anybody can misuse this anonymity and defraud unsuspecting people. I thank you for bringing this to my notice and will take necessary action.”

A little investigation by Newz66.com showed that the Facebook profile named Rahul Roy was created about a year ago. Some models even complained that the person behind the fake profile had even invited some models to a flat at New Mahada demanding sexual favors. Male models were asked for amounts ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh to be given a role in Rahul Roy Productions’ projects.

Rahul Roy has completely denied these happenings. “I will take necessary action and get the profile deleted. We will also try to nab the scoundrel,” Roy told Newz66.com.

In a similar incident UK-based celebrity glamour model Charlotte Springer’s website was hacked and hi-resolution fashion and glamour photographs stolen. The photographs have found their way on to Facebook on a fake profile named Sayali Wankhede - who claims to be an Indian-origin-NRI model and has been actively networking with Indian photographers and websites. Charlotte Springer in an official communication to Newz66.com revealed that her pics were misused and that Indian portals and photographers should beware of the fake Sayali Wankhede.
